Easy-to-Make Chocolate Curls

Emily Hutchinson

Ingredients:

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

2 Tablespoons of vegetable shortening

You'll need

Microwave safe bowl

Half sheet baking pan

Offset spatula

Bench scraper

Directions:

1.     Melt chocolate and vegetable shortening in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until chocolate is completely melted.

2.     Spread chocolate in a thin layer on the back of a half sheet baking pan using an offset spatula.

3.     Chill in freezer for 10 to 15 minutes so the chocolate is set enough to where it won't stick to your bench scraper.

4.     Take a bench scraper and gently scrape off the chocolate making curls. Use a toothpick or a skewer to transfer the curl to your dessert.
